Jessica Shepherd, MS, CC-SLP

Jessica earned Bachelor’s degrees in both Psychology and Speech Pathology at the University of Nebraska. She completed her Masters of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology at Arizona State University. Jessica has her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. She is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in Colorado and California.

Jessica has worked in a variety of clinical settings including a pediatric Inpatient and Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, and a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, where she specialized in Pediatric feeding/swallowing disorders, utilizing Toomey’s SOS feeding approach. Her experiences also include working as a member of a Special Education Team in the Denver area, evaluating and providing therapy for children with a variety of speech/language difficulties. Throughout the years, Jessica has worked with children with Autism, cerebral palsy, cleft palates, traumatic brain injuries, Down syndrome, stuttering difficulties, and hearing impairments. As a Hanen, Floortime, and PROMPT certified Speech Pathologist, Jessica specializes in providing therapy for infants and toddlers with receptive/expressive language delays as well as apraxia or motor planning difficulties, and articulation impairments. Jessica has also received extensive training in pediatric feeding and swallowing disorders, and enjoys working with infants and young children with feeding difficulties, helping families achieve mealtime success!

Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband Bryan and their two children. When not working, she enjoys reading, traveling and exploring the outdoors, running and hiking with her family around colorful Colorado!

Kelly Whitehead, MOT, OTR/L

Kelly earned her Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences from the University of Oklahoma and her Master of Occupational Therapy degree from The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Kelly has dedicated her career to working with children in various settings including preschool, early intervention, outpatient, and inpatient rehabilitation. Kelly has a passion for facilitating independence for children and believes the child and their families are the most important members of the therapy team.

Kelly is originally from Texas but has practiced in Oklahoma and New York in addition to Colorado. Kelly loves to spend time with her family and is so excited to explore all of the outdoor activities in this community.
